Syntesa Associate Kjartan Hoydal at WECAFC expert meeting in Port of Spain, Trinidad

In July 2015 a letter of agreement was signed between FAO and NEAFC for the provision of advisory services on fisheries economics and governance in support of WECAFC reorientation. Our associate Kjartan Hoydal was commissioned by NEAFC to carry out the work for the provision. The agreement runs to 15 January 2016.

An expert meeting to assess the opportunities for a regional fisheries management organization in the Western Central Atlantic took place in Barbados, 1-2 September 2015.

A discussion paper suggesting ways forward is currently being discussed at a meeting in Port of Spain, Trinidad 1-2 December 2015.
