UN seminar on Trade Facilitation & Paperless Systems for Agrifood Products

Syntesa partner Dr Heiner Lehr is co-responsible for training high-level government representatives on paperless agricultural trade in Bangkok 15-17th of December 2014.

After authoring a Guide on Information Management in Agrifood Chains for UN ESCAP/UNNExT (soon to be published), high level officials from Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, India, Lao PDR, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Vietnam and Myanmar were invited to participate in a 3 day workshop where trade facilitation, national single windows and information management in agri-food chains is discussed in detail. The aim of the workshop is to ease the access of South and South-East Asian countries to modern e-management of agri-food trade.
